Change Log

New

  • Grouping with nested data!
    • We now support grouping with flattened and nested structures, where you can configure how you want to see your data.
    • Previously, we flattened your data when grouping so that your tasks (commonly Epics for Jira, or Tasks for Asana) were on the same level as your subtasks (commonly Stories or Subtasks for Jira, or Subtasks for Asana). This meant that subtasks would appear in their appropriate sections regardless of their underlying nesting structure.
    • Now, you can choose between grouping with flattened data or with a nested structure. Nested grouping will mean that we group by your root level attributes. That means if an Epic is in Status = In Progress and a Subtask nested underneath that parent Epic is in Status = To Do, grouping by Status will place both of those issues under the In Progress Status. If you want to see children issues nested in sections that match their field choices, switch to flattened nesting (i.e. “nesting disabled”). We don’t delete your Parent/Child relationships, just change it visually on views with grouping.
    • Update how your nesting structure is reflected in your grouped data and non-grouped in the Group By menu in View Settings. You can also find those settings in the More menu in View Settings.
    • We will default to nested grouping when setting up new groups.
