Highlights

When we say we’re the “World’s Most Connected Spreadsheet”, we’re not just throwing jargon around like it’s nothing. We’ve got big plans!

Part of achieving these big plans means taking time to look back on what we’ve done so far and making sure it will scale with us through our next chapter.

We spent some time these past few weeks looking for ways to improve performance in Visor workbooks to make sure we can continue expanding the limits of what’s possible in our platform. I’m happy to report we found some wins in scrolling performance by taking apart the frontend framework we depend on, Vue, and making some updates so it better suits our needs.

🏎️
This update brings a massive improvement to the scrolling performance in a Visor workbook. Scrolling is up to 50% faster than it was before in our internal testing.

Part of this update also meant setting up deeper benchmarks for performance so we can continue to improve going forward. Keep an eye out for your workbooks to continue getting snappier in the near future 👍

Change Log

New

  • ⚙️  Vue Dependency Management Overhaul - We took apart the frontend framework we depend on, Vue, and made some changes to its dependency management system to make it better suit our needs. Look out for a blog post in the near future detailing how we did this and why it was so important for us.

Each release may consist of multiple deployments. If you have any questions, please contact us at support@visor.us.

Ready to try this in Visor?
